Weird Level......

I was thinking today, I know I'm not extremely smart (meaning don't have to study hard also do very well), yet I'm not exactly average level (meaning study very hard also still get average results). I was wondering if you guys ever felt the same. Hahahaa......reminds me of what my JC class guys used to call ourselves, the scum of the class, the RI boys keep getting thrashed by the hardworking and focused RGS girls in RJC. heh.

I'm just wondering, is there a way, where we can break that threshold? And develop our minds till we are extremely smart? I was wondering, if we train our minds till the stage that quick thinking with depth and breadth (not forgetting wisdom) is just natural and a daily part of our lives, do you think we'll become extremely smart? Or do u guys think that genetics has got a firm hold on us? That nurture can only keep up with nature, not exceed it? Psychology tells us that there's the plasticity of our brains. So by right, we should be able to mould it till the way we want it to be. But undeniably, you do have examples in society where people are at the extreme ranges of intelligence(broad definition), and frankly, it's hard to imagine some people at one end crossing over from one end to the other. Yet, it is possible to imagine them crawling along, from one side to the other... Ok...I wonder if I'm making sense to u guys. Haha. I guess u guys are having midterms soon right? Me too....One tomorrow and two next week. I'm damn slack this term man. I should work harder. heh. Mug on! =p

Haha, and they were both undeniably smart and hardworking... So it's hard to tell. If they were not hardworking, we'd have very good examples in our class. Plus they had GEP training. Unfair advantage. hahaha.... =p

yup...that's why comparing makes one miserable. there's no basis. everyone's different from the day they were born, from the way they were brought up and nurtured. just look for ur strengths and bang hard on it!

channelnewsasia featuring adam khoo this week....the "average" guy who broke out of the "threshold" and made his first million at 26!

Hahaha....1 million at 26? not bad lah. I heard some I bankers, they earn like 150k usd per year. let's say they graduate at 24, then by 26 only earn 300k usd, which is less than 600 k sgd, which is less than adam khoo. But then again, are they counting his assets or cold hard cash? Cold hard cash then the I banker wins out loh....
